In-Patient Unit

Bright, comfortable and spacious, the Mary Stevens Hospice In-Patient Unit is a home away from home for patients.

The 10-bed facility is designed to provide the best possible care and comfort for all residents. The unit accepts patients who are aged 18 or above and are suffering from a life-limiting illness.

Every room benefits from an attractive view of the hospice’s sunny patio area and landscaped grounds, while many feature specially adapted en-suite facilities including showers and spa baths, plus mobility aids for patients who need them.

Patients can stay for just few days and nights to have their symptoms controlled and their condition stabilised before returning home, while others are cared for during the final stages of their illness.

Round-the-clock medical and nursing care is provided by the dedicated team and patients are also free to make the most of the activities offered at the Day Services Unit.

Update to current visiting restrictions due to COVID-19 (updated as at 6th May 2020)

From today (6th May 2020) we are pleased to announce that patients will be permitted 1 visitor per day. However, this no longer needs to be the same person every day.   Visitors will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as guided by the staff. Visiting hours remain between 1130-1530 daily.
