The Bereavement Hub exists to support those who are grieving, it provides them with the opportunity to talk to people who may understand how they are feeling because they have been through a similar experience.
Following the success of the Bereavement hub sessions at the start of 2023, we will be starting a new, 6-month block of sessions from 25th October 2023 into early 2024. We will be running a session over the Christmas break as we have identified a need to keep the sessions running to offer support over the festive period.
Each session is free to attend and will focus on a different part of the grief journey.
The invitation to come along to our Bereavement Hub is extended to anyone in and around the Dudley Borough and you do not need to have a connection with the Hospice.
These are some quotes from people who we have welcomed to previous sessions:
“Just being able to speak to people who understand my pain has been a big comfort.”
“Being in an environment where I do not feel the odd one out has been so helpful.”
Our Bereavement Hub will return at the end of 2023 and continue into the start of 2024.
Our first session will run from 1:30pm – 3pm on Wednesday 25th October and then run at the same time on the last Wednesday of each month, for 6 months. The dates are as follows:
📅 Wednesday 25th October
📅 Wednesday 29th November
📅 Wednesday 27th December
📅 Wednesday 31st January
📅 Wednesday 28th February
📅 Wednesday 27th March
Our Bereavement Hub is located at: The Stourbridge Institute Social Club, 12 Market St, Stourbridge DY8 1AD – Google Maps
During each session, we will focus on a different part of the grief journey and explore your thoughts and feelings surrounding grief. One of the ways we do this is through art, please see the pictures below for an insight into what happens in our Bereavement Hub sessions.
