Wills Month | May 2021

Alongside our trusted partners around the West Midlands, we are offering discounted Wills throughout May as part of Wills Month 2021

Wills Month May 2021

Throughout May 2021 we are teaming up with our trusted partners of the Hospice and offering discounted Wills in support of our patients and families here at the Hospice.

There are a couple of options available to our supporters: single Wills are available for £90 and double Wills are being offered for £150. Please note that these prices are for standard Wills and your solicitor or Will-writer will advise you if any of your wishes will lead to a more complicated Will and therefore increase the cost.

No Obligation

We would like to emphasise that there is no obligation as part of this service to leave a gift of any size to the Hospice in your Will, this is simply something that we are doing for our community alongside local Solicitors and Will writers which in turn will support the families that rely on our care here at the Hospice.

Meet our partners

We are delighted to announce that this May we have four partners on board for this initiative for you to chose from:

Wall James Chappell

Glover Priest

Talbots Law

King Will’s Wills

We spoke with Rebecca from Wall James Chappell about their ongoing support of our Wills Month initiative over the years:

“Wall James Chappell Solicitors are once again excited to support the Mary Stevens Hospice with their Wills Month for May 2021. We have been involved with the Will Scheme since it began in 2017. We appreciate the fantastic efforts of our local hospice and are pleased to be able to offer our services to help raise donations through the Scheme whilst also providing an important service to our clients.”

Sophie from Glover Priest Solicitors told us how they make the Will writing process relaxed, like talking to a friend, making it less daunting than some of us may think it is:

“GloverPriest Solicitors are supporting Mary Stevens Hospice for the third year running for their Wills Month. Over previous years it has been great pleasure to not only support a fabulous a Charity but to support and encourage people to get their affairs in order. For some people, sorting their Will is scary, it makes them face the fact that they won’t be here forever and that can be a worrying prospect, especially if they have children. We try and make the process, light hearted. Imagine having a chat with a friend, talking about your family dynamic, and what your wealth is, its pretty much as simple as that.  The more relaxed the person is, the more we can support them in offering the best advice.  We also understand that some people may have complicated and perhaps strained family relations. It is a fact that no matter how odd, or how bad you think your family set up is, we offer advice with no judgment. Its likely that we would have heard something similar before as in this 21st century world, families are more often complex than not.”

Sevvy Hasan from King Will’s Wills spoke with us about his delight in supporting The Mary Stevens Hospice in our Wills Month this may:

“I’m delighted to be able to support Mary Stevens Hospice for their upcoming Wills Month. The hospice does an amazing job within the community not just for their patients but also in supporting affected families too.

If you die without a Will, it can cause all sorts of problems for your loved ones, so if you don’t have a Will, contact me during Will’s month and my fee will go to this fantastic charity. I give friendly, professional and straightforward advice, offer socially-distanced home visits and online consultations including in the evening or weekend.

Thank you.”
