Charity Canal Walk 2017
Walk either 24, 15.5, 9 or 4.5 miles for the Mary Stevens Hospice!
On Sunday 21st May, we’ll be taking a scenic canal tour of the local area, walking from 3 landmarks on the canal network back to The Maverick Pub at the bottom of Bretell Lane, Amblecote.
The start points for each walk are as follows:
24 mile – Bridgnorth – 8am – 45 Underhill Street, Bridgnorth, WV16 4BB
15.5 mile – Stourport – 10am – Ye Olde Crown Inn, 9 Bridge Street, Stourport, DY13 8UY
9 mile – Wolverley – 12pm – The Lock Inn, Wolverley Road, Wolverley, DY10 3RN
4.5 mile – Kinver – 2pm – The Vine at Kinver, 1 Dunsley Road, Kinver, DY7 6LJ
Finish line: Junction Road, Stourbridge, DY8 4YJ
PLEASE NOTE THE FINISH LINE WILL BE OPEN FROM 2PM
Dogs are very much welcome, and indeed encouraged, and we think this one looks like it could be a lovely thing to do with your family and friends.
The Charity Canal Walk will coincide with the incredible efforts of a team of men from the West Midlands Fire Service and The Maverick Pub, who are walking 125 miles from Borth – The Maverick in just 56 hours during the same weekend.
On the evening, there will be a big post walk party at The Maverick for everyone who entered the public walk, and to welcome home the incredible team who are walking such an incredible distance to raise money for the Hospice.
