30th Anniversary Celebration

We are holding a celebration to commemorate our 30th Anniversary Year

30th Anniversary Celebration

We’re planning to mark our 30th Anniversary with a special Celebration on Wednesday 15th September, 7.00pm at St Mary’s Church, Oldswinford.

Our special guest speaker is Andrew Bagnell, Senior Lecturer (Adult Nursing) at Wolverhampton University. Andrew is a good friend of the hospice and engaging speaker, so we’re really looking forward to welcoming him.

There will be music from our own Mary Stevens Hospice Choir and the wonderful young soloist Emily Carew-Gibbs. As a sought-after classical soprano, Emily has cultivated a varied repertoire spanning opera, musical theatre and pop.

In the spotlight will be two aspects of the hospice’s work that are undergoing a lot of development: Day Services and Bereavement Support. We’ll also have an update from our CEO Claire Towns and displays to illustrate life and work in recent times.

The event will also offer time to reflect, with readings and a time to light candles – not only in memory of our own loved ones but all who have lost their lives during the Covid pandemic.

Please let us know if you’re interested in coming along, so that we have an idea of numbers.
