125 mile charity walk
An incredible group of local supporters will be walking 125 miles from Borth (in Wales!) to The Maverick, Amblecote!
After the success of their 101 mile walk in summer 2016, the team are returning with a bigger, tougher and more inspirational challenge.
At 12:30pm on Friday 19th May 2017, a team from The Maverick and Stourbridge Fire Station will start walking from the coastal Welsh village of Borth.
From that moment, they will have just 56 hours to walk 125 miles back to The Maverick, just in time for their post-walk party which kicks off at 8:30pm.
They will not sleep, they will not stop, and we can guarantee you they will not give in.
In case the distance itself wasn’t hard enough, their trek will also take them up hills and across difficult terrain, as they pour their sweat and, possibly, tears into completing this challenge.
Obviously, this isn’t just something they’re doing for fun, and they will be devoting themselves to raising as much money for the Hospice.
These people are absolutely inspirational, and we’d love to see loads of people there at The Maverick on Sunday 21st May, to give these guys the heroes’ welcome they so richly deserve.
