When you choose to support The Mary Stevens Hospice, you’re not only helping us provide care today, you’re helping us protect the future of the hospice, ensuring that people in our community will always have somewhere to turn when they need it most.
The afternoon offered individuals, families and friends - who have been supported by our services - a place to honour the memories of those who have died.
Our Patient and Family Support team were on hand from the start, welcoming attendees and helping people feel comfortable connecting with others who understand the experience of grief. In the warmth of the summer sunshine, people shared stories, took part in activities to remember their loved ones and, of course, enjoyed a picnic with ice cream for dessert. A highlight of the afternoon was a beautiful performance by The Mary Stevens Hospice Choir.
Events like the Picnic to Remember are central to our commitment to supporting holistic care, not just during illness, but through bereavement and beyond.
