Make a Will Month 2022

With the help of our trusted partners, we will be running our Make a Will Month initiative throughout May!

Throughout May 2022 we are teaming up with our trusted partners of the Hospice and offering discounted Wills in support of our patients and families here at the Hospice.

There are a couple of options available to our supporters to chose from. Single wills are available for £90 and double wills are being offered for £150. Please note that these prices are for standard wills and your solicitor or will-writer will advise you if any of your wishes will lead to a more complicated Will and therefore increase the cost.

Why make a will?

Having an up-to-date will is the best way to ensure your wishes are followed and your loved ones are looked after. You can also leave something special with a gift in your will to your chosen charities.

Did you know that 1 in every 5 nurses here at the Mary Stevens Hospice is funded by gifts in wills?

There is no obligation as part of this scheme to leave a gift to The Mary Stevens Hospice in your Will.  However, once you have provided for your loved ones, any gift – no matter what size – will help to ensure patients and families from our communities are supported to get the care and support they need both now and for years to come.

No Obligation

We would like to emphasise that there is no obligation as part of this service to leave a gift of any size to the Hospice in your Will. This is simply something that we are doing for our community alongside local Solicitors and Will writers which in turn will support the families that rely on our care here at the Hospice.

Meet our partners

We are pleased to share with you our partners for our November Wills Month 2021

Glover Priest

King Will’s Wills

Talbots Law

Wall James Chappell

We spoke with Sophie from Glover Priest about their support of our Make a Will Month this May:

‘Our Wills Team at GloverPriest prides itself on being pioneering whilst also retaining our high street presence whereby our local community can easily access our specialist Wills & Probates lawyers for legal advice.

The need to adapt and be flexible to our client’s growing need over the last two years has meant a more streamlined and efficient service either face to face or remotely.

At GloverPriest our aim is always to put the client first, and we therefore understand that there may now be clients who are now less comfortable with face to face contact.

To support this, we can offer a Will Writing Service remotely whilst maintaining the service level, prudent advice and friendly support in the same way that we would with our face to face contacts.

We look forward to supporting Mary Stevens Hospice during their Spring campaign and are excited to meet the new clients who chose to use our services’

Sevvy from King Will’s Wills spoke with us about his delight to be supporting our Make a Will Month this May:

“I’m delighted to once again be able to support Mary Stevens Hospice for their upcoming Make a Will month this May.

The hospice does an amazing job within the community, not just for their patients but also in supporting affected families too.

If you die without a Will, it can cause all sorts of problems for your loved ones, so if you don’t have a Will, contact me during Will’s month and my fee will go to this fantastic charity.

I give friendly, professional and plain English advice, offer home visits or online consultations including in the evening or weekend and if urgent can prepare your documents in under 2 hours.”

Jodi from Talbots Law spoke with us about their support this year:

“Talbots Law have always been committed to giving something back and support local charities.  Wills month for Mary Stevens Hospice gives us that opportunity and we are always delighted to be involved and to offer our services.”

Rebecca from Wall James Chappell spoke with us about their fourth year of supporting The Mary Stevens Hospice with our Make a Will Month initiative:

“The Mary Stevens Hospice Wills Month is a wonderful opportunity to execute a professional Will whilst also making a contribution to our fantastic local Hospice. Wall James Chappell are pleased to confirm that they will be taking part in the Make a Will month in May for a fifth year. Whilst we appreciate it is difficult for some people to discuss what happens when they die, it is important to leave clear instructions for your loved ones to ensure your estate passes to who you wish it to. We are a friendly and well established professional practice, local to the Hospice on the Hagley Road and we are looking forward to assisting clients with preparing their Wills. If you are interested in making a Will under the Scheme, please contact Mary Stevens Hospice.”
