Protecting everyone in our care

At The Mary Stevens Hospice, the safety and wellbeing of our patients, families, visitors, colleagues and volunteers is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and caring environment where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.

Our commitment to safeguarding

Everyone has the right to feel safe. All members of our team - including staff and volunteers - are trained to recognise, respond to and report safeguarding concerns. We follow clear policies and procedures that ensure any issues are taken seriously and addressed promptly and appropriately. Through training, vigilance and empathy, we create an environment where people can feel safe, supported and respected.

A culture of care and accountability

Safeguarding at The Mary Stevens Hospice isn’t just a policy; it’s a shared responsibility. By embedding awareness and compassion into everything we do, we help protect the most vulnerable members of our community and maintain the trust placed in us every day.
