The song One Day in December was written to reflect these feelings honestly while gently offering hope that future Christmases can feel lighter. Its message is that grief does not diminish love, and that taking time to process and honour loss is valid and supported.

Susy’s songwriting is renowned for its warmth and sincerity, and this piece is no exception. Her ability to craft melodies that resonate has shaped One Day in December into something truly special. We also want to thank Pete Harvey, who previously performed on Susy’s debut album. His contribution once again proved transformative, elevating the piece to exactly where it needed to be. Susy was thrilled to have him involved, describing him as not only an extraordinary musician but also a genuinely lovely human being.
