What is an In Memoriam donation?

Our thoughts often turn to the wishes they had with regard to their affairs and how we can best serve those wishes. Sometimes this may cause us to reflect on the charitable causes that have been close to their heart.

Making a donation in their memory is one of the greatest gifts you can make to Mary Stevens Hospice. It is a mark of loving respect and appreciation for those we have lost. The donated gift to Mary Stevens Hospice ensures a continuing legacy of care for those patients suffering from long-term acute and terminal illnesses.
  • An In-memoriam donation can be made by a family who request donations for Mary Stevens Hospice in lieu of flowers at the funeral, other then those from the immediate family.
  • Donations may be left with the family.
  • You can make donations to Mary Stevens Hospice by leaving them with the Undertaker either prior to or after the funeral.
  • You may make in-memoriam donations in memory at other times, i.e. Anniversary of the death or Birthday of the deceased.
However you choose to make your donation, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the fundraising team if you have any questions at all regarding in-memoriam donations. The charity can benefit substantially if you pay tax and sign a gift aid form. We do understand the tender feelings you may have regarding your bereavement and will do our best to assist you in any way we can.
All cheques for in-memoriam donations to the Hospice should be made to "The Mary Stevens Hospice"

Our aim is to offer the very best Palliative care to our patients. We aim to provide this service to patients completely free of charge. Your donation in memory will help Mary Stevens Hospice to continue the excellent care it gives to future patients and their families.
