Clothing donations
There are 3 ways to support the Hospice with clothing donations.a) Historically the most popular is simply to drop off at any of our outlets personally, this way you can choose which outlet initially processes your donation. Some outlets are easier to park at than others. Our warehouse in Little Cottage Street, Brierley Hill has a pull up / drop off facility at the door.
Additionally we also operate our own clothing banks at Sainsbury's Withymoor, Fitness First - Brierley Hill DY5 1UA, and The Corn Exchange Quarry Bank DY5 2YJ. These donations are routed specifically to our shops.
b) We also operate a pre-arranged bag collection service for clothes from our Stourbridge outlet (01384 443951). Specific collections of 2+ bags can be booked in using this facility. These donations are routed directly to our shops.
c) We are also trialling a no cost volume bag collection service through our partners SIMATEX Ltd (a division of Wolverhampton Recycling), you may encounter these being delivered locally. As with other collection agents, this service operates on a bulk basis where the Hospice is paid directly for the weight of goods collected. These collections therefore do NOT directly supply our outlets.
An example of the approved leaflet is shown here.
Whilst generating significant additional funds for the Hospice, we acknowledge that this method is NOT suitable for items that you may feel have specific value to the Hospice. If this is so, please consider an alternative from the options above.
Arrange a FREE Furniture or Clothing collection online.
Furniture
Most of our hospice outlets specialise in selling donated furniture in varying quantitites. FREE collections can be arranged by ringing the outlet closest to you. Our vans are allocated on a revolving basis - so available days will vary from area to area. Slots are allocated AM or PM (We cannot give specific times at booking, due to routing considerations). Our team will happily come and collect, provided the item/s are legally saleable. ie All fabric items must have an attached fire safety label/notice. All items should be clean, complete, unbroken and in reasonable+ condition.
We value all donations supporting the work of the Hospice, and sincerely appreciate the dedication of our local community, without whom the hospice would not exist.
