Day Hospice
Our day Hospice provides care and support to 15 patients on a daily basis, Monday to Friday, whilst giving respite to their carers and families.
The Day Hospice is an active unit where patients can benefit from the advice and support of the specialist multidisciplinary team in a happy, informal environment.
Patients can participate in the many social and divertional activities organised by the hospice staff and occupational therapists, or simply relax in each others company. Regular entertainment and day trips are also a feature at the hospice.
The hospice team, supported by a team of enthusiastic volunteers offer a full range of services including physiotherapy, OT and complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy and reflexology, hairdressing and manicure.
The team of specially trained professionals also provide symptom control advice and opportunities for patients to discuss their anxieties and express their feelings.
