At The Hospice
Our Philosophy
We believe and respect that everyone is unique with individual cultural, spiritual, social economical backgrounds, beliefs and values. At the hospice we help and encourage everyone to embrace their full potential to promote meaningful activity in health and life threatening illness. The patient and family are central to care and are involved in all decision making. Information when sought is provided with honesty and sensitivity whilst respecting confidentiality and appreciating the importance of hope and quality of life which is individual to each person. Everyone has a right to express their spiritual needs and we respect without judgement different beliefs, faith and cultures and will endeavour to support individual choices relevant to life and death issues.
A Warm Reception!
We strive to achieve making each individuals process as comfortable and supported as possible. This process starts with our friendly reception staff. All staff at the hospice understand, not only the needs of the patients, but also that of the families and friends. Our ten bedded residential unit combines modern facilities in a warm and homely environment. The hospice supports patients and carers with practical, physical, emotional and spiritual care and provides comfort for those who are faced with serious illness, compromised quality of life, loss and grief.
We also have facilities for families / carers to stay overnight and have an open visiting policy.
